Munnar: Gods own country Highest peak.

Munnar is a hill station located at Idukki District of the southwestern Indian state Kerala. Munnar meaning three rivers located at the confluence of the Madrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala.Munnar also has the highest peak in South India. The mist covered rolling hills, exotic plantation, panoramic view, and pristine wildness all add to the beauty of hill station.
Munnar was the summer resort of the British government in south India. Munnar is also known as Kashmir of Kerala. Munnar cordially a visitor by rolling out a plus green velvet carpet of verdant laced with tea plantation.

Duration of trip: It was 3D/2N trip from kochi.

Details of Trip:

 Day 1: We started our journey from Kochi. We hired a cab for 3 days and cab took around 4 hours to reach Munnar.In Kochi Munnar Highway, a keralite restaurant is there that has amazing food, speciality is Kerala Thali. After lunch we started our journey again and we went to Hindustan Spice Garden, it is about 7 km from Kumily. The garden visit was very informative for me.The tour guide was inside the garden and she was very informative about every tree/plant. She offered to show us organic herbs and even they have a good collection of spices and natural beauty products.


After that we went to Valera waterfall, alongside there is very beautful and refreshing scenery.Then we went to Eruttukanam Elephant Camp and we reached Munnar at 5 p.m. We had booked the Cloud Valley resort in advance. At it was quite late, by that time we got settled.

Day 2- After having breakfast in the restaurant of the resort we started sightseeing at around 9:30 am.We went to Fun forest adventure park. It is the place where one can take part in number of adventure activities such as low rope activities: the horizontal ladder, free walk and spider-net and the high rope activities: Burman Bridge, Valley crossing, rock climbing and Rappelling.
After that, we went to Kundala Dam. Kundala is a picturesque place about 20 km from Munnar, on the way to top station. After this we went to to Pothmedu viewpoint, it is about 5 km from Munnar city. Drive to the viewpoint the road is narrow and both sides you would able to see tea 
plantation. After reaching the viewpoint, you will be able to see the mountain that's spread across the Munnar with a little bit of misty fog.This is a perfect place to see the beauty of Munnar. Then.Then we went to Echo point. This is best Place  in a cold climate with fog and beautiful scenery. Boating is available but If you want to do speed-boating there is a better place for that.

The entire journey we have finished at around 6pm. After that we went to the resort.

 Day 3; We checked out at 10 am from the resort, after that we went to Munnar flower show. There were lots of flowers with different  shapes, few resembles like human, birds and animals. Then we went to Matterputty Dam. It is 13 km away from the Munnar. One of the main attraction in Mattupettrety is speed Boating and motor boating.
After that we went get to kochi.
